First Project Ever

Hi there,

As promised in my previous post, it's time to reveal my first beads accessory ever. Are you ready? Here it goes..

This happens, when you try to use all beads available

To be honest, I like the colors. But everything else just looks so messy. And, as you might see, each part looks totally different. Well, I wanted to try out every technique I could possibly imagine, so that's why everything is incorporated there. 

An the cherry on the cake is the way I attached it to the pin. Oh my. Such a mess! And you know what's funny? All these "stitches" didn't even set the hair piece together! I had to glue it to the base. 

Well, I do learn from my mistakes and try to bind the wire more neatly. But it's hard! So for now there's a 50/50 chance that it will look tidy. So tell me what you think. Did it make you smile?

And the next photo is my work in progress. To be true, it's finished already, but I'll reveal it in my next post. Let's call it a cliffhanger :)

Reminds me of wheat. Wheat, made of beads, of course :)

And yes, I figured out that you don't usually say things like "like this post" or "subscribe". But it would be great, if you follow me somehow anyway :)

Who, What, Why?

Hi there,

My name is Yuliya and it would be great, if you could help me out.. with an advice, or a tip, or a compliment, or all of the above :)

Recently, and I mean really recently, literally last week, I started doing stuff from beads. Mostly hair-accessories. Why? The idea was sitting in my head for a while now, starting from last winter. I even bought some red, green, white and gold beads for that. Unfortunately it has ended even without starting in winter as well. 

But somewhere in June I went to a small handmade market, where my Mom bought me such an awesome hair pin, made from beads and stones and which looks like something an elf would put in its hair. Of course I loved it!

Right after a few YouTube videos and inspiration from Instagram I went to a local craft shop and bought some beads, pearls and a wire. And that's how it's all started.

Ouch, such a mess! I promise you, it'll get better :)

You will laugh so hard, when you seen my first hair pin! I'll post it in my next post to keep you interested :)

So what to expect from my blog? A lot of smiles and laughter, as I am such a novice in this beads stuff, and you will see so many mistakes.. But also you will, hopefully, see the improvement, as I am so motivated to learn and create! So you will grow and get better in creating accessories with me.

Also, there won't be much text, as I'm not a big fan of writing and try avoiding it at all costs. But what i really love is photography, so be ready for it. And smiley faces.. can't live without them :).
